This is our working checklist, not an official list. SCEGA sets the actual requirements for each licence type on its e-portal, and they can change. Use this to get organized; we confirm the current requirements for your event.
1. The event
- Final event name, in Arabic and English if you use both
- Event type (conference, workshop, training course, meeting, exhibition…)
- Start and end dates, and daily timings
- City and venue
2. The program
- Agenda or program with sessions and timings
- Topics, in plain language
- Speakers, trainers or moderators, with roles
- Which of them travel from abroad
3. The people
- Expected attendance
- Invite-only or open to the public
- Ticketing or registration method
- Partners and sponsors, if any
4. The venue
- Venue booking or a confirmation from the venue
- Room or hall capacity versus expected attendance
- Layout if there is an exhibition area
5. The organizer
- The organizing entity’s legal details (commercial registration for companies)
- A responsible contact person
- Access to the organizer’s SCEGA e-portal account, or a plan to create one
- Any previous licence or application number
6. The timeline
SCEGA sets the submission periods, and they can vary by event type. Find yours first, then fix the dates you need to have each item above ready. If the event is close, tell us now; the sooner we see it, the more options there are.
After you submit
- Answer questions quickly and in one go
- Tell us before you change dates, venue or format
- Keep the licence details on file once it is issued
