SCEGA publishes “Rules and procedures for organizing lectures, training courses, workshops and meetings in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”, and lists a separate licence for each: workshop (ورشة عمل), training course (دورة تدريبية), meeting (اجتماع) and lecture (محاضرة).

Things to settle early
- Where it is held. Hotels and accredited venues are the usual choice; the venue should be confirmed before you apply.
- Who attends. Invite-only or open registration, and how many people.
- Who delivers it. Trainers or speakers, their topics, and whether any travel from abroad.
- Repeat sessions. A series of workshops in different cities or on different dates needs planning per session.

Workshop and training questions
Is a workshop licence different from a training course licence?
Yes. SCEGA lists workshops and training courses as separate business event types, each with its own licence.
We run the same workshop every month. Do we apply each time?
Recurring sessions need planning per session date and venue. Share the schedule and we will set up the plan with you.
Can you organize the workshop too?
Yes: venue, setup, AV, materials, registration and the people. See event management.
