Visa routes that may apply
Saudi Arabia runs its visa services through the unified KSA Visa platform and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Which route fits depends on the visitor’s nationality, what they will do at the event and who is inviting them. Routes commonly considered for event visitors include:
| Route | In brief | Usually considered for |
|---|---|---|
| Event visit (زيارة فعالية) | A visit visa service listed on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs platform for attending events. | Visitors to events whose organizers use this route |
| Business visit visa | Requested by a Saudi company or institution, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for visitors in managerial roles who have a business relationship with it; the request is certified by the Chamber of Commerce. | Senior partners and counterparts invited by a Saudi entity |
| Tourist eVisa | Available to eligible nationalities online; the official tourism visa portal lists events among permitted purposes. Work is not permitted on a tourist visa. | Visitors attending an event, not working at it |
Exhibiting, speaking for a fee or working on a stand can be treated differently from simply attending. That distinction is one of the first things we check for each visitor group.
How we help
- Review the event. Event name, dates, city, and the SCEGA licence number if the event has one.
- Group the visitors. By nationality, role (attending, exhibiting, speaking, crew) and who invites them.
- Pick the route per group. Based on the current official rules for each group.
- Prepare the application. Invitation letters, event details and the information each route asks for.
- Track the timeline. So visas are applied for early enough before travel.
What we need from you first
- Event name, city and dates
- SCEGA licence number, if available
- Number of visitors and their nationalities
- What they will do: attend, exhibit, speak, or work as crew
- Expected arrival and departure dates
Your data: our first form asks only for totals, not passports. If an application later needs personal documents, we arrange a secure way to share them. Please do not email passport scans.
Questions
Can you get a visa for me?
No. Only the Saudi authorities issue visas. We help you choose the right route and prepare the application, and we tell you honestly if a route does not fit.
How long does an event visa take?
Processing times are set by the authorities and vary by route and nationality. Start as early as you can; we plan the timeline with you.
Can visitors attend a conference on a tourist eVisa?
The official tourist visa portal lists events among the permitted purposes for eligible nationalities, and the tourist visa does not allow work. Exhibitors and paid speakers usually need to look at a business route. We check each case against the current rules.
Do I need the event’s SCEGA licence number?
For licensed business events it is useful to have; ask the event organizer for it. If you are the organizer, see SCEGA permits.
